Sirius XM radio is an established radio service with headquarters in New York City. It has smaller service stations in Los Angles and Memphis also. Sirius radios provides a range of services, satellite radio service and internet radio service across the continental America.
Sirius radios was first established in 2002 in New York city and currently helps listeners in enjoying refreshing music in 69 streams. Also it caters to listeners in other areas of interest other than music, namely sports, news and other entertainment media. Some of these come in as many as 65 streams. One of the most interesting features of Sirius radios is that is provides music and other entertainment without commercial ads in between, commercial breaks. This reduces the time in which audiences get frustrated unnecessarily. Sirius radios broadcasts uncensored and a 24 hour channel.
The scheme that enables this freedom from commercials is its special pay for service radio wherein users only pay for the service received. This payment comes in a variety of ranges with subscription varying between monthly rate as low as 12.95$ to a lifetime membership being a moderate 500$. many channels which run with commercial pauses are found here with no such commercial intermissions. This is because of the special scheme of the Sirius radios. Some popular examples are Howard 100 and Howard 101.
It was named so “sirius” in honour of the dog star which is also the literal translation of the name sirius. It was originally named sirius CD radio which was then renamed to what its name is now in 1999 October. It was in 2008 that Sirius radios was formally merged with another radio station XM radio and jointly it was called sirius XM radio. Its reach widened with this merger enhancing the reputation and popularity of the radio and along with it its reach among all the sections of the internet public.
